Importance of Mentorship to Affecto Stars

Mentorship is one of the  activities embraced  by Affecto Foundations. It is through mentorship that we can journey closely with our students with the aim of seeing them actalize their dreams and visions.

Mentorship provides a grooming groud for the mentee to learn the right and unlearn the wrong.That is why we say a mentor is not someone who walks ahead of you to show how they did it but someone who walks alongside you to help you do it.

We have listed a few important reasons as to way mentorship is important to our Affecto stars.

Set Goals

Mentorship helps the student to set achievable and realistic objectives both for their personal and academic goals. This goals help keep track of the mentee as well as assess their process. In an event that the mentee isn’t on the right track it is easier to know the problem and address it.

Get Knowledge

Mentors are expected to provide a information geard to helping the mentee to achieve their goal successfully. Example, offering specific intrsutions on how to perform a particular task. This helps guide the student make confident decision when pursing their objectives.

Constructive Feedback

Establishing trust between the mentor and the mentee is key in mentorship. Once the relationship has been enabled then the mentee is able to understand and accept positive constructive criticism. This allows the mentee identify their weakness and seek ways to improve.
