Affecto Story: Eunice

In a family of 11 children, Eunice the last born was the only one who completed class 8. At some point she had dropped out of school to sustain herself through casual jobs. She even wanted to work a house-girl but her father did not approve of it.

In 2018 she sat for KCPE exams scoring impressive 390 marks to earn a slot at PRECIOUS BLOOD – KILUNGU. But despite the great performance Eunice watched in desperation as opportunity of a lifetime slipped off her fingers.

She not only wanted to be the first member of her family to ever step in a secondary school but also to work hard in life and end the poverty cycle within her family. She has always had a dream of becoming a judge.

A kind neighbor who sympathized with their plight reached out to Affecto Foundation. He ensured their application was submitted to our office on time.

With partnership with FDK – USA we are pleased to offer Eunice a four year scholarship and mentorship at Affecto Foundation.

We welcome and wish Eunice the very best in her dream school.
